"The Good Fight"
"The Good Fight"
“20x30”
After the wrongful death of George Floyd, thousands of Angelenos took to the streets, voicing their pain, anguish, and anger as they marched demanding to be heard. On the steps of City Hall during the BLM assembly, I was unable to hear from the rear of the crowd, so I made my way through towards the city's steps. Such steps that lead into halls of justice are symbolic, meant to focus our minds on the task at hand, fighting to declare what is to become law for the benefit of all people. When I made my way to the front, I saw a poetic declaration, a fist raised, her speech concluding: “enough is enough."
I hope this image serves as a symbol of strength, as a reminder of hope birthed out of oppression, out of hate, out of incompetent leadership. I hope this image gives you courage under the toughest of times.
